Arsenal Football Club confirmed in a statement via its official website on Saturday that it has agreed a £68 million deal for Crystal Palace star, Eberechi Eze.

The 27-year-old England international will make his way back to north London, where he made his breakthrough as an attacking talent in our academy before quickly developing as one of the Premier League’s most exciting and creative attacking midfielders.

Eberechi joined Queens Park Rangers in 2016, and enjoyed a standout season in 2019/20, being named QPR Player of the Year before joining the Premier League with Crystal Palace in 2020.

He made over 150 appearances at Selhurst in five seasons, the highlight being his winning goal in May's historic FA Cup final victory over Manchester City.

International career On the international front, Eberechi featured for England's youth teams before debuting for the senior squad in 2023. He has gone on to make 11 full international appearances and was part of the Euro 2024 squad, and last March he scored his first international goal in the team’s 3-0 win over Latvia in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.

Arsenal head coach Mikel Arteta added: "We are delighted to welcome Eberchi to Arsenal. “He is a player with power, flair and work rate, and will add a new dimension to our attacking play. As a player, his ability and intelligence are what he is most known for and what he has always worked so hard at to achieve his status today.

"He has had the words of everyone here at Liverpool ringing in his ears regarding how we feel about what he has achieved and it is 100 per cent deserved that we can now call Xherdan a World Cup winner. We are all excited to begin working with Eberechi.

Eberechi will wear the number 10 shirt and will meet his new team mates after this weekend's match against Leeds United.
